Sue Taylor has been a female general surgeon in Perth since 2004 and was a founding member of the ReShape program as a bariatric surgeon with her colleagues at Western Surgical Health. Since 2022, Sue \u00a0no longer performs Bariatric Surgery in order to focus on her new roles. She is now working as the Director of Clinical Training at Geraldton Hospital, supervising interns, Resident Medical Officers and International Medical Graduates. She is also a Medical Coordinator for the Rural Clinical School in Geraldton, teaching medical students in their final two years of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In March 2023, she ceased General Surgical operations including Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, open and laparoscopic hernia repair, pilonidal sinus, haemorrhoids and hiatal hernia repair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She operated at St John of God Hospital, Subiaco<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n She is accredited at Bethesda Hospital, Claremont <\/a>and Hollywood Hospital, Nedlands<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n She trained in Perth at Sir Charles Gairdner, Osborne Park, Royal Perth and Fremantle Hospitals from 1992 to 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001, she continued to serve the public hospital system, participating in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2002, she spent 12 months working with Professor Sir Alfred Cuschieri at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, Scotland. She brings home broad experience in laparoscopic surgery and also in postgraduate and post-fellowship teaching skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She was Head of Department of Surgery at Osborne Park Hospital, and lead major changes in digital correspondence from the outpatient clinic, digital wait-list implementation and workflow changes for preadmission screening in a multidisciplinary team using Office365 resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australasian College of Health Service Administrators (Certified Health Executive) and a member of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (CHIA certified). <\/p>\n\n\n\nYou can find information about some commonly treated surgical conditions here:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
